Charrette
Charrette is an opportunity for design professionals to get directly involved, using their talents, in missions work in Europe. The goal of a Charrette is to provide the selected ministry site with a working design during the time you are there.
Naturally we don't expect final construction drawings during the time of the trip, but one of the options is for you to stay involved with the project even when you return home, by completing the construction drawings (to the level possible without using a local project architect or engineer). If this is not possible, the design can be handed over to the EuroTeam staff who will take the design to the next stages.
To further the participation in the project, you can take the vision of the project to your church and present it to them. They can send work teams to the site, to help make the ministry's vision, and your designs come to life.
Each trip varies in duration according to need, and costs $100.00 (US)* per day with a $300 minimum per individual. This covers room and board, local transportation, emergency medical insurance and project fees. Transportation from North America to the ministry site are the responsibility of the individual. Please note that Charrette is a program in development and is therefore a great opportunity to be involved in a fledgling area of ministry.
