We may have set a record for smallest team (2), but the guys did a great job teaching basic computer classes in three different cities in two weeks! Dave from Iowa and Mike from Colorado joined up with EuroTeam supervisor Jim in Bucharest.
We traveled with pastor Florin to the towns of Fieni and Magura for the first week of teaching. In the mornings we held class in the Fieni theater basement with pastor Florin's church and in the evenings in a co-op building in Magura with pastor Nicu's church from Pucioasa. Besides the basics in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Dave led a "Chapel Talk" each day sharing about faith, sin, love, salvation and our need for guidance. We averaged 9 students per class and had a great time getting to know the students as we taught. We had two translators, Iuliana and Marian, who were a huge help in communicating everything clearly.

One afternoon in the first week we were invited over to a local family's home for lunch in Fieni. It was my favorite... Sarmale! I always enjoy spending time with the local people outside of classes.

On our way from Fieni/Magura we were able to visit a local palace in Sinaia. A nice time to see some of the history of this area of Romania.

The second week we were in the city of Râmnicu Sărat working with pastor Cosmin from the Baptist Church. We had a morning class with youth and an evening class with adults in their small church. At least half of the morning class youth were new to the church. In the evening class Dr. Cosmin had two of his nurses attending as well as a teacher and counselor from the local school. Both weeks we gave out certificates of participation as well as New Testaments in Romanian and other goodies as a "graduation" gift on the final day. We had a Bar-B-Q in the countryside with the adult class from Rimnicu Sarat on the final day. Our second week translators were Aurora and Stefania, who were also vital in our communication with the students.

It was a great two weeks of ministry as we worked with the local pastors and local churches to reach out in their communities.
