A team from the Chicago area was joined by two women from North Carolina to teach English as an outreach in Kehra. The Baptist Church in this town outside of the capital invited us back for a fourth year. Classes, though small, provided opportunities for teachers to bond with the students. We especially enjoyed Sunday dinners in Estonian homes and seeing sights in the land they love so much.
Intermediate Class Presentation, Tallinn
11-25 August Kalju Baptist Church and a church they are planting in a high-rise neighborhood of 117,000 people in Tallinn provided opportunity for two teams from the midwestern US to teach over 100 students. Evening classes provided a chance for Estonians to study English, hear testimonies of what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus and a time for the teachers to build friendships with their students. Estonians appreciated the opportunity to hear native English speakers, learn about America and share their deep needs through journaling. The students were invited to join us for an outing our last day there. This offered unique opportunities to share our faith and build friendships.
2 Estonians with Youngest Team Members
All three pastors were greatly encouraged by the attendance and new contacts they now have with the people who came to the English classes. They will be offering the Alpha Course and will do other follow-up with all the students.
The unity among our teams, their love for their students and their committment to honoring Christ in every way gave us reason to praise God continually!

Impressions from our teachers:
"I received an impression from this trip that there is a spiritual hunger in Estonia, hunger that simply needs to be awakened"...
"Isn't it amazing how God used all of us (Ages 18-71) coming from such varied backgrounds and experiences? I feel like the Lord really knit us together into a team that cared about each other and loved our students."
