Stories from the Field...
A team of 7 Canadians joined Project leaders Matt and Esther for an awesome two weeks of service at the Zelena Dolina Camp in Croatia. We had a great time building a retaining wall to expand usable area around the main building, as well as insulating, putting up dry wall, “straightening” the log cabin walls and staining the outside of the cabin.

Before and After Shots of the Retaining Wall
We had a great time drinking Tim Hortons coffee (which the team brought) and visiting the local churches, One church member said that he was blessed and amazed that the team gave up their time to serve the believers in Croatia.
On our days out we basked in the sun by the clear waters of the Adriatic coast, and went to cities where Christians were persecuted 1500 years ago.
Highlight of the trip:
This was Matt's first solo trip as project supervisor. He was really happy that in the end the team's service helped this camp in a real practical way and was an encouragement to the local church. The team members themselves were encouraged and challenged in their walk with the Lord. They also gained a broader perspective of missions in Europe.
A team member quoting a missionary said, “going on a missions trip is like climbing a mountain... when you get to the top the world doesn't change... your perspective does, and you can adjust accordingly”
