A team of 10 (7 Canadians, 3 Americans) joined the Garrity family for a great 2 week project at Immanuel Church , Malmö Sweden . We had a wonderful time helping the church remodel and expand their worship hall. We built a new platform/stage, painted the ceiling (7 meters/22 feet above the floor) and walls, and echo-proofed the back wall.

When not working, we enjoyed hanging out with the church members at the park or beach, and visiting Copenhagen , a Viking village, and attending a professional soccer game (go Malmö F.F.!!!!).
The highlight for me (Kim) was the last night, when pastor Daniel explained that due to the vacation schedule and heavy demand on construction workers in the area, there was no way they were going to be able to move the project forward in July without volunteer help. Because EuroTeam was there, they can re-open the sanctuary in September, rather than December, and can't start using the new spaces as school starts up again. No amount of money sent over could have moved the work up as well as the efforts of the team. Praise God!
